The IA 175 Bridge (FHWA #0052410; 94-02577) was built between 1946 and 1948 and is classified as a continuous steel plate deck girder design with an overall length of 695 ft.  The bridge was recommended eligible for the NRHP under Criterion C for its engineering and design. It’s defining features are the 695 ft continuous span, arched steel girders, plate deck design continuing use without additional supports, and intact concrete piers.
